I can't say enough how much I enjoy my summers off. Being a teacher does have some great perks. I've noticed as the boys get bigger and their naps get shorter, as they look for more to keep them busy and interested, the harder my summers get. I'm constantly looking for things to keep them busy - scheduling play dates, going to the pool, etc. Today we made a trip to my classroom to get a head start on setting up. Mama got chewed out by the new custodian. If you know me, I'm not one for confrontation, but I stood my ground and let her know it wasn't my fault. I'm thinking it was a sign that u shouldn't go back and that I need to keep relaxing! Lol

We've had a blast at the pool this summer.

Derek started taking TaeKwando.

He really enjoys it!

We discovered a new splashpad called The Quarry that we go to with work friends.

We are becoming fans of frozen yogurt. We especially love places where you pick your own flavors and toppings.

Derek helped me finish mine too. Can you believe it?! And in case you are wondering...it was not filled to the brim. Lol

Of course there is always time to relax.

But we are always working on learning. Dereks claim to fame this week was grabbing my attention to show me he spelled no with his spaghetti. I was a proud mama and teacher!

He's doing very well with identifying his letters and is working on learning sounds. We just really need to focus in his fine motor skills.

Well that's all for now. We will be getting ready for class shortly. Plus, I need to finish some laundry. It never seems to go away! Lol
